Job Description: Demonstrates exceptional standards when installing various heating and air conditioning systems. Has strong interpersonal skills and easily interacts with our longstanding customers while providing a high quality experience. Supervises the work of apprentices and helpers while balancing high quality and a timely job performance.

Job Duties: 

  • Installation of furnace, ventilation, and air conditioning units
  • Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks in the operation of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilating systems in residential homes
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs various models of HVAC equipment
  • Understand the operating principles of heating and air conditioning
  • Perform safety practices related to HVAC work
  • Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in the repair of heating and air conditioning equipment in residential and light commercial buildings
  • Perform daily work duties associated with the trade with little to no supervision in the field

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in all HVAC functional design and installation of ductwork systems.
  • Proficient understanding of refrigerant, oil, gas and electric furnaces, heat pumps, troubleshooting and installation of all residential and light commercial systems.
  • Values safety on the job.
  • Has an exceptional understanding and knowledge of tools and testing devices.
  • General knowledge in all HVAC low voltage systems.
  • Ability to test and balance systems.
  • Understand and apply all relevant codes
  • Ability to consult on customer complaints and give solutions that are beneficial for customer as well as company
  • Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools used in the residential HVAC installation field.
  • Ability to plan and lay out equipment for the optimization of such.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and blue prints.
  • Ability to manage and direct job site resources, labor and materials.
  • Experience in supervising apprentices and less skilled “helpers” and a desire to educate and mentor them.
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Exceptional social skills and ability to effectively interact with our customers.
  • Well organized.
  • Has high, unwavering values and standards.
  • Experience in acceptable and proper construction methods and techniques.
  • Minimum 5 years HVAC Construction field experience

Required:

  • 5 years’ experience is required.
  • Valid CA driver’s license is required.
  • Prefer residential or commercial HVAC experience.
